BSc (Hons) in Corporate Administration


The need for this degree programme (BSc in Corporate Administration) arose from the demands of the economy for specialised knowledge and skills to deal with the complexities of corporate administration in modern organisations.

 

 

Aim

To help students understand the strategic goverance issues that face today’s organisations and to enable the Corporate Secretary to advice the Board and other senior managers on how best to formulate long-term policies that would address these issues.

 

 

Objectives

The objectives of this programme are:

  • to enable students to understand the role of Corporate Secretary in enhancing the work of the Board in upholding high standards of corporate goverance and administration
  • to equip students with the necessary skills to enact the role of Corporate Secretary in promoting coroprate responsibility and fairness, transparency and accountability
  • to help students learn and apply the new codes of goverance including international corporate goverance, change management and the legal framework under which organisations work
  • to help students understand how best to support decision making at Board helping its members deal with today’s complexities in navigating through the extensive network of regulatory controls

 

Course Duration

The duration of the programme is eight semesters of full-time study and leads to the BSc(Hons) Degree in Corporate Administration.

 

 

Graduation Requirements

Students studying towards the BSc Honours in Corporate Administration are required to take a minimum of 276 ECTS. One-hundred and eighty (180) come from core subjects and forty eight (48) from the Language specialisation and fourtyeight (48) from electives.
