Selection Criteria for Academic Staff (Teaching and Training)
The selection criteria include a request for an Erasmus mobility and a recommendation by the Head of Department. The application is then forwarded to the Erasmus office for evaluation and is subject to assessment for suitability based on the following points.
A. Academic Suitability i.e. area of expertise the applicant should have, qualifications and/or professional positions in accordance with the mobility applied for.
B. Experience in the Field i.e. the applicant should have relevant experience teaching and/or research relevant, to the area of mobility.
C. Personal Characteristics i.e. the applicant should display an appropriate attitudetowards the teaching of students and the subject area.
NOTE(S): Individuals who on the grounds of the selection criteria stated above otherwise would be ineligible for selection but who can demonstrate a benefit in their professional or personal development from the mobility experience may apply for selection.
Selection Criteria for Administrative Staff (Training)
The selection criteria include a request for an Erasmus mobility (Training) and a recommendation by the Chief Departmental Officer. The application is then forwarded to the Erasmus office for evaluation and is subject to assessment for suitability based on the following points.
A. Administrative Suitability i.e. area of expertise the applicant should have, qualifications and/ or professional positions in accordance with the mobility applied for.
B. Experience in the Field i.e. the applicant should have relevant experience working and/ or research relevant to the area of mobility.
C. Personal Characteristics i.e. the applicant should display an appropriate attitude towards the mobility and the administrative task requirements.

Selection Criteria for Students (Studies and Placements)
The selection criteria include a request for an Erasmus mobility (Study and/or Placement) and a recommendation by the Head of Department. The application is then forwarded to the Erasmus office for evaluation and is subject to assessment for suitability based on the following points.
A. Academic Achievement i.e. the level of academic success with particular relevance in the area of interest in accordance with the mobility applied for.
B. Knowledge in the Area i.e. the applicant should have relevant knowledge and awareness relevant to the area of mobility.
C. Personal Characteristics i.e. the applicant should display an appropriate attitude towards the learning of the relevant subject area.
